In the past few hours, the city of Nyala in South Darfur has witnessed an unspeakable atrocity — an appalling massacre that has claimed the lives of dozens of innocent civilians and left hundreds more gravely wounded. This deliberate and inhumane aerial bombardment targeted an IDP shelter in El Fasher, within the Nyala Secondary School for Boys. It was a ruthless act carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its brethren from the terrorist Islamic Movement, aided by warplanes supplied by complicit neighboring nations.

This abhorrent attack is not an isolated incident. It is part of a deliberate and systematic campaign of terror against innocent civilians. IDP camps are being mercilessly targeted — a desperate and vile retaliation to the successive defeats suffered by the SAF and its mercenary collaborators in the face of our resilient and determined forces on all fronts.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) unequivocally condemns these heinous crimes and holds the regime of Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his mercenary and jihadist allies fully accountable. We have irrefutable evidence exposing their orchestration of war crimes, including indiscriminate airstrikes that have wrought destruction upon Sudan’s civilian infrastructure. Entire neighborhoods have been obliterated; hospitals, schools, markets, water stations, places of worship, and even livestock pens have been reduced to rubble. These crimes are an affront to humanity and a stain on the conscience of the world.

Let it be known — this egregious assault will not break our resolve. The RSF remains resolute in its mission to dismantle the remnants of the corrupt former regime and eradicate the mercenaries and terrorist factions that continue to plague our country. Our unwavering commitment is to liberate every corner of our nation from the clutches of the al-Burhan regime entrenched in Port Sudan and restore peace, justice, and dignity to our people.

To the citizens of Sudan and the international community, we pledge this: justice will prevail. The perpetrators of these atrocities will face accountability for their crimes. Our dedication to achieving a Sudan that is free from terror, oppression, and corruption is unshakable. Together, we will forge a future built on peace, freedom, democracy, and dignity for every Sudanese citizen.
